On November 7, at the Kurenivka Palace of Culture, the team of the PR agency and the music label “Mnogo Vody”, with the support of Jameson, presents the third showcase of new Ukrainian music. The showcase concept is close to the famous British project BBC Sound of, which every year calls a list of names that tomorrow will become big stars of the indie scene. So, in different years the BBC Sound of “predicted” the success of James Blake, Michael Kivanuki, Stormzy, Jamie Woon, Nao and many others.
Before, it was Alka Pash, Happy People, Lawyers, The Maunt, Gorim !, Refinders, singer DIYana, and many others who first made themselves known at the showcases from Mnogo Vody. Surely the condition of the showcase is an exclusive material. Artists first show live their new songs.
So, on the third show “Mnogo Vody” the day before the official release of the new album, the headliners of the evening BRAII will present fresh material, and the most intriguing newcomers to the Ukrainian indie rock scene – the Timpache group will show their powerful potential for the first time live. In addition, during the event, listeners will hear songs from the upcoming album of jazz singer Laura Marty, whose pop-oriented album will be released at the end of November this year.
There, one week before the release of the album, new songs of the Banned Society will be presented – the opening group of the label “Mnogo Vody” and the favorites of the founder of the label Sasha Varenitsa. Finally, TVORCHI, whose recent release of “Don’t Dance” has become a notable hit on the radio, will try to prove that the future of dance music in Ukraine lies with them!
The hosts of the evening will be Olya Dibrova, Program Director of Iceland Radio, and Denis Rzhavsky, frontman of Happy People. On the territory of Kurenivka, guests of the evening will enjoy a series of activations and unexpected surprises, including a Catholic-style confession room turned into an inside room, where artists will share their sins and the MV Shop with a limited merchandise from Much Water.
